Job summary

Ferrovial is seeking an Equipment Operator to maintain contracted assets on roadways and related infrastructure across Canada. Under supervision, you will perform snow removal, sign and guardrail maintenance, and various surface repairs.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, at least 3 years in construction/road maintenance, and a valid Ontario Class DZ license; training in traffic control, first aid, and WHMIS is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years related work experience in construction, road maintenance, maintenance or landscaping.
• Valid Ontario Class DZ driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Successful completion of training in traffic control methods, first aid, transportation of dangerous goods, WHMIS and job related aspects of Occupational Health.

Responsibilities

• Removal of snow and ice using snow removal and/or sanding equipment.
• Maintain and repair highway surfaces and related assets including signs, guardrails, fence, lighting, potholes, striping and reflectors.
• Operate vehicles and equipment for surface and right-of-way maintenance and repair.
• Traffic control setup and removal.
• Transport crew and equipment to work sites.
• Be available for emergency response rotations including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• All other duties as assigned.
