Job summary

Manitoba Government is seeking a Highway Design Technologist (TE1) to provide specialized engineering support in geometric design, capacity analysis, and route location. Based in The Pas, Thompson, and Dauphin regions, the role reports to the Technical Services Engineer and requires a civil technology diploma or Level 3 training with related highway experience.

Expect strong analytical and communication skills, ability to work independently or in a team, and travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent.
• Directly related highway planning/design experience.
• Excellent analytical, decision making, and problem solving skills.
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while establishing priorities and competing deadlines.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Knowledge of roadway geometric design principles and standards.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Desirable GIS experience with ArcGIS or ArcGIS Pro.
