Responsibilities
- Cultivate a culture that promotes inclusion, innovation, productivity, and collaboration.
- Build strong relationships, listen intently, and utilize clear & transparent communication.
- Maintain the account cleaning requirements at a consistent, optimum level of efficiency.
- Provide ongoing training to hourly staff in proper cleaning procedures, company policies, and WHMIS training on hazardous chemicals.
- Advise the Operations Manager of any changes in requirements that may affect work schedules or invoicing (e.g., tenant vacancies).
- Establish work schedules and maintain accurate daily records of hours worked by each employee, submitting timesheets to payroll promptly.
- Supervise, lead, motivate, and develop employees within assigned duties.
- Notify the branch of new or terminated employees and ensure employment documentation is complete.
- Conduct daily inspections to ensure work is performed according to procedures and take corrective actions when necessary.
- Prepare security reports for any damages, breakages, burnt-out lights, or unusual incidents or accidents.
- Schedule and complete periodic work on time according to account requirements.
- Coordinate special requests from clients or branch management and notify the Operations Manager for prompt execution.
- Follow and maintain health and safety requirements; report WSIB issues for employee injuries.
- Order supplies per company policies, maintaining proper stock control.
- Maintain records of equipment and ensure all equipment is cleaned and serviced regularly.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the cleaning industry.
- Knowledge of proper use and maintenance of cleaning equipment and chemicals.
- Understanding of health and safety issues.
- Experience supervising or managing staff.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Other
Must be flexible to adjust staff workloads for absenteeism or special projects. Assist employees with cleaning duties when necessary. Must pass a Criminal Record Check.
