Job Summary

As a member of the HMA patient care delivery team, the RN may perform routine clerical, administrative, and clinical duties within the scope allowed under the TN Board of Nursing to ensure an efficient, thorough, and positive patient experience. This position reports to the Site or Department Manager and may be assigned to a specific clinic/provider or float to various clinics based on business needs. The RN must work collaboratively with physicians, providers, team members, patients, and the public. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. The RN should be customer-focused and committed to growing within HMA’s mission, vision, and values, maintaining high standards of ethics and compliance.

Job Requirements
  • Licensed Registered Nurse in Tennessee with at least 1 year of experience, preferably in a clinic or physician office setting (OB/GYN, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, ENT, Rheumatology, Neurology, Endocrinology, etc.)
  • Experience with electronic medical/health records
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Education and Experience
  • Graduation from an accredited RN program
  • Minimum 1 year RN experience, preferably in a medical clinic setting
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations
  • Valid unrestricted TN RN license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) may be required for some specialties
Physical Demands

Ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours/day, stoop, bend, twist, assist patients with mobility, push wheelchairs, and lift up to 80 pounds if necessary.

Work Environment

Clinical setting with exposure to communicable diseases and other typical healthcare environment conditions.
