Qualifications

  • Experience in Home and Community Care is an asset.
  • Clear & updated Vulnerable Sector Check (within last six months) required.
  • Valid Driver's License & reliable car needed for community homecare.

Responsibilities

  • Provide peritoneal dialysis, wound care, and IV management.
  • Demonstrate compassion, accountability, and respect to patients and families.
  • Maintain effective communication and charting practices.

Core Competencies :

  • Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and in good standing
  • Experienced in Home and Community Care is an asset
  • Current BCLS certification (Level C)
  • Demonstrated clinical assessment and patient / family teaching skills
  • Demonstrated effective communication skills
  • Charting on Procura is an asset

Shifts : 1-2 days during the week and alternate Weekends

Requirements :

  • Clear & updated Vulnerable Sector Check (within last six months)
  • Valid Driver’s License & reliable car in community homecare is required
  • Up to date TB test within last 2 years
  • Must have your own :

a)Stethoscope

b) Blood pressure cuff and Sphygmomanometer

Note : This is a specialty program for Peritoneal Dialysis, Wound Care, IV Management, Diabetic Care & Post Operative Care in the community.
