Job summary

Qualifications

• Current practicing registration with the BCCNM as an RN/RPN.
• One year's recent experience in gerontological nursing or equivalent.
• Current Level 1 First Aid certificate.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to plan and document interventions.
• Provide direct nursing care including wound and dementia care.
• Communicate assessments and changes to care providers.

Skills

Knowledge of nursing theory and evidence-informed practice

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing

Ability to apply clinical knowledge in practice

Ability to work independently and in a team

Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work

Education

Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse degree
