Providence Healthcare is looking for a Staff Nurse who will assess and deliver nursing care within a patient-centered framework. Responsibilities include planning and evaluating care, supporting a safe environment, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to meet the diverse needs of patients. Ideal candidates will have current nursing registration and strong communication and teamwork skills.
The salary range for this position is CAD $41.42/Hr. - CAD $55.91/Hr.

Reporting to the Patient Care Manager, the Staff Nurse assesses, identifies, plans, implements, and evaluates the nursing care required to assist patients/residents in meeting their physical, social, spiritual, and psychological needs using an established framework for nursing practice. Develops, implements, evaluates, and revises the plan of care. Incorporates individual and/or group teaching into the care plan and nursing interventions and/or makes referrals to other resources. Supports other nurses and healthcare professionals by sharing information and demonstrating procedures. The Staff Nurse works within an interdisciplinary clinical framework in accordance with the BCCNM Standards and the mission, vision, values, and protocols of Providence Health Care.
Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives or in Residential Care, Mental Health, and Medicine-Psychiatric Units. Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives.
The role involves reviewing patient/resident status, assessing problems and needs, planning, implementing, evaluating, and prioritizing nursing care using evidence-based practice. Provides direct nursing interventions, monitors progress, documents information, and responds to crises. Leads and participates in educational activities, quality improvement, research, discharge planning, and advocacy to promote patients'/residents' rights.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
