Seeking nurse with experience in ultrasound or willing to train in ultrasound

Current Certificate of Registration, College of Nurses of Ontario

Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional/compassionate support throughout the patient’s journey.
  • Provides patients/couples procedure education, and scheduling of treatment/ coordination of treatment cycles after initial and follow-up visits.
  • Coordinates patient treatment plans (IUI, IVF, FET, ET) in conjunction with physician and other nursing/admin staff.
  • Directs and monitors cycling visits including education session for procedure and medications (schedule, dosage, and administration), and clarification of physician instructions.
  • Communicates laboratory results to patients.
  • Coordinates scheduling of cycles and procedures with patient and appropriate staff.
  • Schedules and performs IUI procedures as needed.
  • Performs routine patient assessment as needed (height, weight, vital signs, phlebotomy, etc.).
  • Assists physicians with procedures, exams as needed.
  • Perform IV insertion.
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in the fertility field and/or gynecology preferred (or Women’s Health).
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Demonstration of good attendance and work performance.
  • Comfortable working with the LGBTQI2 community.
  • Must have excellent time management skills and the ability to multi-task.
  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Is able to work flexible hours including weekends.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
  • Licence/Certification: Nursing (required).
