Job summary

A home health care organization in Oshawa is seeking a self-driven Nurse (RPN or RN) to deliver complex care for pediatric clients in their homes. Must be available for a variety of shifts, including weekends. The role requires effective communication skills and active registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario. Competitive hourly rates between $33.25 and $50.75 based on shift and nursing designation are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work various shifts including days, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Demonstrated experience delivering in-home care/community settings.
• Comfortable providing care to both male and female clients.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one personal care to clients in their home environment.
• Administer medications as per CNO scope and document in eMAR.
• Monitor and assess clients’ vital signs.
• Support clients with medical needs such as oxygen therapy.
• Safely assist clients with mobility using lifts or manual assistance.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all care provided.

Skills

Effective communication in English

Complex care experience

In-home care/community setting experience

Education

Active registration with CNO as Registered Nurse (RN)

Current CPR and First Aid certification

Valid WHMIS 2015 certification

Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening

Negative TB test

Proof of full COVID-19 vaccination
