Summary: Provides high quality professional nursing services in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities: Summary of Major Duties:

  1. Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for nurse visits in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
  2. Utilizes the nursing process to provide direct patient care for telephone triage in the ambulatory care setting per clinic staffing models.
  3. Responsible for Medication Refill Management as an agent of the provider using approved nursing protocols.
  4. Ensures safe, timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and patient-centered care of patients.
Qualifications

Other information:

  • SKILLS:
    • Licensure: State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
    • Academic Preparation: Degree from accredited academic nursing program (If a program is under conditional status, approval may be granted by system CNO). Minimum ADN preparation with expectation of BSN completion within 5 years of hire.
    • Specialty Certifications: Specialty Certifications in area of practice preferred.
    • Professional Requirements/Emergency Response: Maintains current training in following:
      • BLS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required for all
      • Additional Requirements based upon area of service
      • CDS Outpatient
      • Specialty Care Clinics: Oncology Chemotherapy certification
      • Urgent Care: ACLS, PALS
      • Pediatric Urgent Care: PALS
  • Experience: Minimum New graduate or experienced nurse from an accredited nursing program.

Education:

  • Essential: Associate Degree

Education specialization:

  • Essential: Nursing

Credentials:

  • Essential: Registered Nurse-NM

Maximum Offer for this position is up to:
