Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Emergency Room in British Columbia. The ER RN will triage, assess, and treat patients in urgent situations, coordinating with physicians and delivering compassionate care under pressure.

You will monitor vitals, start IV therapy, administer medications, assist in procedures, educate patients and families, and document in EMRs. Strong clinical judgment and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• 2+ years ER or acute care nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients on arrival based on acuity and urgency.
• Perform comprehensive assessments and administer medications per physician orders.
• Respond to critical situations including trauma and cardiac arrests.
• Monitor vital signs, initiate IV therapy, wound care, and assist procedures.
• Collaborate with physicians and health‑care team to stabilize patients.

• Maintain infection control standards and safety protocols.
• Participate in code blues and rapid response as needed.

Description:

We are seeking an experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Emergency Room team.The ER RN will be responsible for providing high-quality, timely, and compassionate care to patients in urgent and emergent situations, often under pressure.This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to prioritize effectively, and excellent communication skills.Triage patients upon arrival based on acuity and clinical urgency.Perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and provide treatments in accordance with physician orders.Respond quickly to critical situations such as trauma, cardiac arrest, and other medical emergencies.Monitor vital signs, initiate IV therapy, wound care, and assist in procedures.Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to coordinate care and stabilize patients.Educate patients and families regarding diagnosis, procedures, and discharge plans.Document all care provided accurately and timely using electronic medical records (EMRs).Maintain infection control standards and follow safety protocols at all times.Participate in code blue and rapid response team activities when required.

Requirements:

Active Registered Nurse LicenseCurrent BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification required.TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications preferred.Minimum 2 years of experience in emergency or acute care nursing required.Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Strong ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.Effective communication and team collaboration skills.
