Job description

The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers high-quality patient care and ensures positive patient outcomes through the compassionate and efficient application of nursing knowledge. Working under general supervision, this role promotes professional nursing practice by coordinating patient care through the nursing process and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Reviewing patient needs and conditions to deliver appropriate nursing care in the assigned unit.
  2. Analyzing patient information, such as medical history, diagnostic results, and current condition, to develop individualized care plans.
  3. Preparing nursing processes, including medication administration and treatments, to provide comprehensive patient care.
  4. Reconciling medical records to ensure accuracy and compliance with standards and policies.
  5. Evaluating patient responses to interventions and adjusting care plans as needed.
  6. Collaborating with the interdisciplinary care team for effective care planning.
  7. Performing other duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Required: Associate's Degree in Nursing
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience:

  • Required: 1 year as a Registered Nurse
  • Preferred: 1 year in a clinical specialty as defined by ANCC or similar organizations

Licensure/Certification:

  • Required: Registered Nurse license in North Carolina or a Compact state
  • BLS (CPR) certification from American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
