Job summary

A healthcare organization in Clinton, Ontario is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for their Emergency Department. Candidates must be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario and have significant clinical experience in Emergency or Critical Care. The ideal applicant will have advanced skills in patient assessment and the ability to work independently. This role offers a competitive salary of $39.07 to $56.00 per hour.

Qualifications

  • Work independently and effectively communicate with the healthcare team.

Skills

Paediatric and adult assessment including triage and Acuity Scale
12 lead-ECG Interpretation
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Excellent communication skills
Ability to plan and organize

Education

Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

POSITION: REGISTERED NURSE - Emergency Department

Primary Site: Clinton

Full-Time

REPORTS TO: Manager, Inpatient Unit & Emergency Department – Clinton

DATE REQUIRED: As soon as possible

SALARY: $39.07 to $56.00 per hour

Qualifications

  • Current registered member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario

Requirements

  • Recent clinical experience (minimum two years) in Emergency/Critical Care Nursing preferred
  • Recent/related courses, in-services in Emergency/Critical Care Nursing
  • Forty-five (45) minute return time will be required when scheduled for standby

Skills/Abilities

Specialized Skills in the following areas are required:

  • Paediatric and adult assessment, including triage and Acuity Scale
  • 12 lead-ECG Interpretation
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Ability to work independently, with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to plan, organize and problem solve.

Preferred Training

  • Advance Paediatric Life Support (APLS) or Paediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC)
  • Emergency Nursing Certificate (ENC)
  • Emergency Trauma Life Support (ETLS)
  • Trauma Management
