Job summary

HAN Staff in Windsor, NC is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a correctional healthcare setting. You will assess patients, administer medications, monitor progress, and collaborate with physicians and the care team.

This role offers 10-hour day and evening shifts, travel stipends, and a competitive hourly wage of $53.00 with W2 status. New recruits are supported by a dedicated recruiter and access to CEUs, hotel savings, pet insurance, and an Employee

Qualifications

• Current, valid NC RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 1 year RN experience within last 3 years.
• Copy of PSV from licensing board if required.
• Current required certifications (e.g., BLS, TB test, immunizations).

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses and discharge instructions.
• Respond to changes in condition and emergencies promptly.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other procedures within scope.
• Maintain compliant EMR documentation and safety standards.

Local Pay: $ 53.00/hour- W2

Travel Pay:

Travel Rate (based on 40 hours): Hourly $31.03, Stipend (Lodging $770.00 + M&I $476.00) = $1,246.00

Shift Details:

• 10 hr- Day and Evening Shifts

Registered Nurse (RN) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and medical emergencies.
• Perform wound care, IV therapy, and other clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control standards, and facility policies.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records (EMR).
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care while promoting safety and quality outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted NC license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year of recent experience as a RN within the last 3 years.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test).
