Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver comprehensive nursing care across acute care settings in High Level Northwest Health Centre. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while advocating for patients and families.

The role emphasizes safe, high-quality, patient- and family-centered care, with additional travel and northern allowance benefits for eligible staff. Provisional permit holders are paid at the RN provisional rate.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited nursing education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA).
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
• If you have not practiced as a Registered Nurse within the past five (5) years, completion of the following free courses is required prior to employment: CRNA Medication Management and NextGenU Health Assessment Resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations.
• Utilize nursing processes with critical thinking, problem solving and decision making.
• Teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families.
