Job summary

SmartRecruiters, Inc. in Montreal, QC is seeking an RM&S engineer for a 6+ month full-time onsite role. Focus on reliability, safety and certification tasks for aircraft systems.

Responsibilities include reviewing PSSA/SSA, performing FMEA/FTA, supporting MSG-3, CAW risk assessments, and coordinating with suppliers and internal teams on certification and continued airworthiness.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with FAR25.1309, ARP4761, ARP4754, MIL-HDBK-217, MSG-3, CAFTA tool, FMEA, FTA, CAW risk assessment methodologies.
• Product development knowledge: develop and review systems architecture design; review and approve deliverables of System Suppliers; development, integration and certification of hydro-mechanical systems; support tests; witnessing tests may be required; AIR, AS standards, FAR25/525, RTCA DO-160 and DO-178.

Responsibilities

• Lead/Support Root Cause Investigation with data review and supplier discussions.
• Create DCPs and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Participate and/or support test activities.
• Participate and/or support Continuing Airworthiness investigations, and present at Triage/CARB meetings.
• Coordinate DCP related activities with offshore team.
• Participate in IPDT meetings with internal stakeholders and Suppliers.
• Lead TIM and present DCPs at ECCB.
• Review and present ETA to PMO and Procurement.
• Provide visibility/status to Section Chief/Supervisor of activities, escalation/help needed items.

Job Description

• Knowledge of aircraft systems (e.g. Hydro-Mechanical, Pneumatics, Avionics, Powerplant, Electrical)
• Able to;
  • Review/approve PSSA/SSA from Suppliers and present to team
  • Create/update PSSA/SSA
  • Create/review/approve FMEA, FMECA, FTA
  • Perform Weibull analysis
  • Support MSG-3 analysis with the Maintenance Engineering team
  • Perform CCMR analysis
  • Support RCA from a reliability and safety perspective
  • Perform CAW Risk Assessments and present at various CAW meetings (Triage/CARB)
