Overview

Mastercard’s Technology Risk team is seeking an experienced professional with a passion for operating at the intersection of Integrated Risk Management (IRM) / Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) tools and risk data and intelligence for operational resilience and cybersecurity. The Risk Platforms and Intelligence Manager bridges the gap between tools, data, and risk analysis. This pivotal role enables Mastercard’s second line risk team to harness the power of rich datasets to proactively identify and mitigate technology and operational risks. This position optimizes risk and control capture processes and delves into datasets of various types to enhance IRM/GRC tool capabilities and drive advanced analytics initiatives. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring effective compliance monitoring, risk management, and empowering data-driven decision-making across the enterprise.

Role

  • Utilize analytical skills to collect, analyze, and interpret large operational data sets, enabling identification of critical insights, trends, and potential disruptions/exposures.
  • Oversee development and execution of an IRM / GRC tools roadmap, driving adoption and continuous maturity of the GRC program.
  • Ensure seamless integration of analytics tools with existing IRM / GRC platforms (e.g., Archer, OpenPages), maximizing data utilization and reporting capabilities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and requirements regarding IRM / GRC tools and data (including AI / ML) to enhance risk and resilience posture.
  • Guide and collaborate with cross-functional teams in data engineering, analytics, and risk management to implement robust data-driven solutions.
  • Generate requirements, user stories, and data for PI planning sessions, collaborating with product owners, business owners, and system architects.
  • Optimize GRC software platforms to streamline control mapping, risk assessment, and reporting functionalities, enhancing efficiency and accuracy.
  • Enhance risk and control capture processes to ensure data accuracy and integrity.

All About You

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and formal education required.
  • Knowledge of risk management, assurance and/or regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience with structured SDLC methodology and tools.
  • Knowledge of Mastercard and the payments industry a plus.
  • Knowledge of RSA Archer and OpenPages a plus.
  • Developed communication skills – listening, oral and written and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational and planning and multi-tasking skills while adaptive to change.
  • Strong analytical/problem solving and planning skills.
  • Leadership, interpersonal, and negotiation skills required with a track record for developing internal and external relationships.
  • Demonstrate ethics and values to generate high team trust.
