Shape the future of large-scale infrastructure projects by leading risk strategy, driving better decisions, and influencing outcomes from the earliest stages of delivery. We are seeking an experienced Risk Manager to join a high-performing project team responsible for delivering complex infrastructure initiatives. This is an opportunity for a seasoned risk professional to play a critical role in identifying challenges before they arise, guiding mitigation strategies, and helping project teams make informed decisions throughout the design and pre-construction phases. Working closely with engineering, commercial, estimating, project controls, and construction teams, you will help establish a proactive risk culture that supports successful project delivery while balancing cost, schedule, and stakeholder expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the development and implementation of project risk management strategies, processes, and reporting frameworks.

  • Facilitate risk identification workshops with engineering, design, commercial, construction, and project controls teams.

  • Maintain and manage project risk registers, ensuring ownership, accountability, and mitigation strategies are clearly defined.

  • Develop risk reporting dashboards and provide leadership teams with clear insights to support decision‑making.

  • Integrate risk considerations into cost forecasting, schedule planning, estimating, and project execution strategies.

  • Support value engineering, change management, and project optimization initiatives.

  • Lead Quantitative Cost and Schedule Risk Analyses (QRA) at key project milestones and translate findings into actionable recommendations.

  • Analyze risk trends, assumptions, and mitigation effectiveness to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Maintain transparent documentation and audit trails related to project risks, decisions, and mitigation plans.

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote proactive risk management practices.

What You Bring

  • 15+ years of experience in risk management within large-scale infrastructure, transportation, transit, or complex construction environments.

  • Experience supporting major projects through progressive design, pre-construction, or design-build delivery phases.

  • Strong understanding of project controls, cost forecasting, scheduling, and commercial risk.

  • Experience facilitating risk workshops and working with multidisciplinary teams.

  • Ability to analyze complex information and communicate clear recommendations to senior stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership, facilitation, and influencing skills with the ability to challenge assumptions constructively.

  • Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.

  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI-RMP, or equivalent are considered an asset.

  • Experience with risk management tools and quantitative risk analysis software is preferred.

Why This Opportunity

  • Influence major projects from the ground up – Play a key role during early design and pre‑construction phases where strategic decisions have the greatest impact.

  • Work on complex, high‑profile infrastructure programs – Apply your expertise to projects requiring advanced risk management, collaboration, and strategic thinking.

  • Have a seat at the table – Partner with senior leaders and multidisciplinary teams to shape decisions, challenge assumptions, and improve project outcomes.

  • Build your professional impact – Lead risk processes, mentor teams, and help establish best practices across a sophisticated project environment.
