Job description

As Risk Manager in the Counterparty Credit Risk Exposure Monitoring team, you will be responsible for daily management of the credit risk framework and facilitating the implementation of the stress risk framework related to derivative exposures. Your role includes supporting daily monitoring of counterparty exposures against approved risk limits, overseeing the completeness and accuracy of risk measurements, streamlining and automating risk monitoring practices, and enhancing analytical capabilities for portfolio analysis. You will also support development coding efforts and coordinate necessary work to implement appropriate exposure metrics.

What will you do

  • Report daily counterparty exposures and assess limit availability
  • Investigate, document, report, and escalate credit limit excesses according to internal policies, including Conduct Risk considerations
  • Develop tools to proactively identify and escalate material risk trends and concerns
  • Perform deep dive analysis into specific portfolios and counterparties of concern
  • Identify gaps in risk capturing and reporting processes, ensuring result accuracy
  • Develop and code tools to automate processes and enhance analytic capabilities
  • Assist in implementing a Stress Risk framework, including stress exposure reporting, stress sizing, and analytic capabilities, as well as onboarding certain product types and providing trade coverage oversight

What do you need to succeed

Must-have

  • At least 2 years of experience in a quantitative Risk Control function (market or credit risk) within a financial institution, with understanding of capital markets trading products and credit risk concepts
  • Proficiency with Excel, Python, VBA, SQL, or similar programming languages
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines

Nice-to-have

  • FRM, PRMIA, CFA certifications
  • Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Knowledge of derivatives and securities finance products, including pricing, risk measurement, market structure, participant types, and activity drivers
