The Opportunity:

The Risk Management team is hiring! We are looking for a Risk Manager, Rail & Transit, to join our Transportation Systems team located in Canada (Calgary, Toronto, Montreal). Reporting to the Risk Team Lead, this role is responsible for applying and maintaining risk management processes and systems in accordance with established procedures.As a key member of the risk management team, you will drive proactive risk management across complex infrastructure initiatives. Your role will focus on integrating risk strategies into project planning and execution to ensure successful outcomes.

What you can expect to do here:

  • Lead engaging workshops and risk meetings to identify, assess, and prioritize project risks, and guide teams in developing effective mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with risk owners and project teams to build, monitor, and refine treatment plans that align with project goals.
  • Maintain and update comprehensive risk registers using the designated risk database.
  • Perform schedule and cost risk modeling to establish confidence levels and quantify potential impacts.
  • Deliver clear, actionable risk reports tailored to project team needs and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with scheduling and cost control teams to embed risk management into broader project controls.
  • Champion a culture of risk awareness and resilience across project teams.

What you’ll bring to WSP:

  • Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in project management or project controls within civil infrastructure or construction.
