Reporting to the Director of Integrated Operational Control, this role will support projects within the Civil Eastern Division. The successful candidate will ensure project success across multiple clients by implementing industry risk management best practices to address potential disruptions and setbacks, including managing contractual aspects to mitigate legal and financial risks.

What You'll Do Here

  • Lead risk identification, assessment, and mitigation efforts throughout the lifecycle of construction projects.
  • Develop and implement tailored risk management plans that address client and technology challenges, including safety hazards, regulatory compliance, environmental impact, and contractual risks.
  • Support clients proactively to minimize budget overruns, schedule delays, and quality issues through strategic risk mitigation measures.
  • Monitor project progress and risk indicators continuously, adjusting mitigation strategies as needed.
  • Facilitate open communication among diverse project teams, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure alignment and success.
  • Research, identify, evaluate, and utilize industry information such as lessons learned, best practices, and reasons for project failures to mitigate enterprise risks.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk analyses and incorporate findings into project forecasts.

What You Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in construction management, engineering, or related field with a focus on Heavy Civil construction.
  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in construction project or risk management within the infrastructure industry.
  • Certifications such as Risk Management Professional (RMP) or AACE Decision & Risk Management Professional (DRMP) are desirable.
  • Experience with Monte Carlo risk assessment tools.
  • Knowledge of AACE practices related to risk and contingency development.
  • Strong understanding of risk, compliance principles, and legal regulations.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse, intercultural teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with contract management terminology.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI.
  • Deep understanding of the construction project lifecycle and associated risks.
  • Proven track record in managing risks on complex projects, navigating regulations, and managing contractual risks.
  • Knowledge of financial reporting systems and project controls.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to collaborate with all management levels and employees.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites.
  • Valid G driver's license and access to a vehicle.
