About The Role

Job Description :

We’re looking for a Risk Control or Sr. Risk Control Consultant to join our growing team!

What You’ll Do Here

  • Plan and carry out visits on site to identify existing or potential risks of loss.
  • Write quality inspection reports related to the visits and assessments.
  • Make recommendations based on company policies and technical expertise and follow up with insureds, underwriters, and brokers.
  • Educate insureds on sound risk management by providing technical advice on risk management and loss prevention.
  • Answer technical questions from insureds, underwriters, and brokers.
  • Advise underwriters, brokers, and adjusters on the consistent application of our company's risk control guidelines.
  • Meet or exceed risk control productivity targets and service quality standards.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Degree in technical engineering (civil or mechanical), or other engineering degree and / or University degree or College Diploma within the areas of Technology and Innovation, or related technical programs in relevant fields such as Fire Prevention or related sciences, or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of related and relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable fire protection and construction codes and standards (Building and Fire codes, NFPA, CEC etc ).
  • Possession of a valid driver's license in good standing is required.
  • Holding a CIP and / or CRM professional designation is an asset.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite applications.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Client orientation with strong relationship building skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong learning, coping and coaching skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, agility and the ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Bilingual (French and English)] English is required, and French is an asset.

Salary of the successful candidate will typically be positioned between the following range, taking into consideration a number of factors including prior experience, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, location and internal equity :

65,000.00 - $97,400.00
