Pinchin Canada is seeking a Senior Risk Assessor to lead environmental risk assessment projects across Canada, from screening studies to regulatory submissions. You will mentor teams, review deliverables, and ensure high-quality outcomes for diverse clients in the national market.

Based in the GTA, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage complex projects, and contribute to business development while upholding Pinchin’s standards for safety, compliance, and client service.

Qualifications

  • Degree in a related discipline is required or preferred.
  • QPRA designation in Ontario required or candidates must qualify to obtain it.
  • PM experience in a consulting environment is required.
  • Strong knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04 and willingness to learn other jurisdictions.

Pinchin is seeking a Risk Assessor to join our Contaminant Management & Remediation team in the GTA. The existing role reports to the National Director.

Role Overview

As a Senior Risk Assessor, you will provide technical leadership and oversight for environmental risk assessment projects across Canada, supporting a range of initiatives from screening-level assessments to complex regulatory submissions. Working closely with project teams, clients, and stakeholders, you will guide risk assessment strategies, review technical deliverables, mentor professionals, and contribute to the successful delivery of projects that support environmental management and brownfield redevelopment.

Your Impact
  • Senior technical advisor and project manager for human health and ecological risk assessment projects, in all regions of Canada, for projects ranging in scope from screening level assessments to complex regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure continued quality and execution of deliverables in a timely fashion.
  • Preparation and Senior review of proposals and reports, risk assessment feasibilities and peer reviews.
  • Act as an inter-office liaison and client contact for risk assessment projects.
  • Contribute to thought leadership within the ERA Practice, in addition to participating in collaborative projects with other practices within Pinchin, which may require risk-related input.
  • Perform any other job-related duties that may be assigned.
What You’ll Bring To Pinchin
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline. Degree in biological sciences, toxicology or environmental studies is preferred.
  • QPRA designation in Ontario is required (If not already acquired, the candidate must qualify to obtain the designation).
  • CSAP in BC, P.Biol. or P.Eng. designation are an asset.
  • Background in environmental toxicology is an asset.
  • Project Management experience in consulting environment is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of Ontario Regulation 153/04 and willingness to learn the guidelines/regulations of other jurisdictions.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams).
  • Excellent report writing/ editing skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in groups, as required for complex projects.
