Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Risk and Finance Technology Analyst to perform thorough analysis and articulation of risk or finance tech model data requirements. The ideal candidate will identify and understand specific data quality issues to ensure effective delivery of data to users using standard tools. This role involves working with large amounts of data, providing analysis of internal and external regulations related to credit risk, and preparing functional documentation based on these analyses.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough analysis and articulation of risk or finance tech model data requirements.
• Identify and understand specific data quality issues to ensure effective delivery of data to users using standard tools.
• Provide analysis of internal and external regulations (credit risk) and prepare functional documentation based on these regulations.
• Work with large amounts of data, including facts, figures, and number crunching.

Mandatory Skills

• Experience in Risk or finance technology area (7 to 10 years).
• Strong SQL knowledge, including complex joins and analytical functions.
• Good understanding of data flow, data models, and database applications.
• Working knowledge of databases like Oracle and Netezza.
• Ability to decompose existing Essbase cubes, understand cube structure and logic, document all metadata and business rules, and prepare for migration or rebuild on modern platforms.

Preferred Skills

• Conceptual knowledge of ETL and data warehousing; working knowledge is an added advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Java is a plus.

Qualifications

Must possess a strong analytical mindset and the ability to work with large datasets. Familiarity with BFS-Capital Markets is a deal breaker for this role.
