Hercules Group of Companies in Red Deer, Alberta, is seeking a Rigger Technician to measure and build wire rope and chain slings to exact specs. You will read drawings, install winch cables, and learn fabrication with comprehensive training.

Qualifications

• Must demonstrate strong communication in busy shop environments.
• Mechanical aptitude with comfort using shop tools and fabrication tasks.
• Dependable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Basic math and ability to read a tape measure accurately.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s licence required.
• Legal entitlement to work in Canada; sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Measure and build wire rope and chain slings to customer specs.
• Install winch cable onto bed trucks with precision.
• Read and interpret drawings and fabrication instructions
• Operate hydraulic presses and measuring equipment.
• Use grinders, cut-off saws, cutting torches and spoolers.
• Tag outgoing products and shipments for accuracy.
• Monitor wire rope inventory and communicate material needs.
• Support other shop areas and contribute to a team-focused workplace.
