Job summary

ReadyForce in Milton, ON is seeking a Rigger/AZ Driver to join our Machinery Movers Division. This role blends 10% driving with 90% rigging, and is not a long-haul or pure driver position.

You will work with skilled teams to move and install equipment safely and efficiently. You must hold an AZ license, have at least 5 years of tractor-trailer experience, and be proficient in rigging and operating installation tools.

• Tractor trailer: 5 years’ experience.
• Forklift experience is an asset; training available.

Responsibilities

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Rigger/AZ Driver to join our Machinery Movers Division out of our Milton location.

For this role, we are looking for AZ drivers with heavy haul, open trailer and rigging experience. This is NOT a long-haul position or just a driver position. The role combines 10% truck driving and 90% rigging.

What You’ll Do

• Drivers are part of our machinery installation/relocation crews as well.
• No long haul, weekend work occasionally, but mainly Monday to Friday.
• Drive company equipment in a safe and defensive manner.
• Comply with all safety rules and procedures, and Ministry of Transportation laws.
• Assist team members to complete tasks.
• Establish positive working relationships with primary contact at each account.
• Must maintain excellent punctuality and attendance record.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Physical Demands:

• Frequently required to bend, stoop, crouch, reach, handle tools, and lifting of material.

What You Bring

• Must have AZ license
• Ability to drive a manual transmission truck
• Tractor trailer: 5 years’ experience (Required)
• Forklift experience is an asset as you will be working with our machinery moving teams. We are willing to train the right candidate.
• Satisfactory drivers abstract (no older than 30 days), including no DUI violations in past five (5) years.
• Reliable and consistently meeting deadlines.
• Heavy lifting, manual work and proficient use of installation tools as required.
• Ability to clearly communicate in English, both verbally and written; ability to read and understand English.
• Self-motivated and willingness to grow with a great team.
