Rig Manager - Kuwait

Responsibilities

Grey Wolf Drilling International Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Precision Drilling, is recruiting qualified and experienced Rig Managers to assist and lead our Kuwait operations. Responsibilities include:

1. Manage and direct the daily activities of the rig crew in accordance with the client goals within company expectations;
2. Coordinate rig moves with client and transportation personnel;
3. Conduct pre-tour meetings with rig crews;
4. Ensure that the permit to work system and other HSE management tools are used correctly;
5. Develop and maintain good working relationships with operator's representatives, subcontractors and other personnel on the rig;
6. Participate in preventative and regulatory safety inspections and meetings as per the company's Target Zero Rules and Key Beliefs.

The Successful Applicant Will Possess The Following Qualifications

1. Accredited Engineering degree/diploma is preferred but not required;
2. Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of drilling industry experience in oil & gas well drilling;
3. Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience in the present position;
4. Must be proficient with computer hardware, and the software Microsoft Suite;
5. Must be fluent in written and spoken English;
6. Able to demonstrate excellent safety leadership;
7. Able to communicate effectively at all levels;
8. Has experience assisting in effective management of personnel and operations;
9. Able to impact and influence people;
10. Able to build customer relationships.
