Job summary

Winnipeg Clinic is seeking an Associate in the Section of Rheumatology to work in a high-volume, outpatient setting, focusing on assessment, investigations, management, and rehabilitation of rheumatologic conditions.

The role is housed in a large multi-specialist clinic with full EMR, onsite diagnostic services, and comprehensive physician benefits. Eligibility requires CPSS Manitoba registration and a Medical Degree with Rheumatology residency.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (Rheumatology).
• Must hold a valid Medical Degree and a Postgraduate Residency in Rheumatology.
• Physicians trained outside of Canada must demonstrate English Language Proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assess and manage patients with rheumatologic conditions in an outpatient clinic.
• Order and interpret laboratory tests and imaging as part of evaluation.
• Provide rehabilitation and integrate care with a multi-specialist clinic setting.

One of Canada’s largest multi-specialist medical clinics has an opening for an Associate in the Section of Rheumatology (Permanent position- averaged full-time equivalent). This position will be engaged to practice medicine (Rheumatology) in an independent outpatient clinic, providing excellence in the assessment, investigation (ordering and analyzing laboratory tests, imaging, other), management, and rehabilitation of patients with acute and chronic forms of arthritis; soft tissue rheumatic disorders; collagen-vascular diseases and vasculitides; spinal and regional pain problems; and the musculoskeletal manifestations of systemic disease.

Qualifications:

Must be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba (Rheumatology), and for membership with the Canadian Medical Protective Association. Must hold a valid Medical Degree and a Postgraduate Residency in Rheumatology.

Physicians trained outside of Canada must successfully demonstrate English Language Proficiency, as required and directed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba. Flexible Language Requirement: French not required

Physicians trained outside of Canada must successfully meet all of the required Education (hold a valid Medical Degree)/Credentials, Specialty Training (Postgraduate Residency in Rheumatology), Experience (2+ year practicing as a Rheumatologist is required), Examinations and Testing requirements, as directed by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.

Compensation:

Compensation is derived from Fee-For-Service (FFS) billings

Expected Range: $210,000 – $700,000 annually
