Job summary

SYSTRA IBT in Laval, QC seeks a Revit Modeling Technician to contribute to 3D modeling, clash detection, and adaptive family parameterization. The role centers on Revit and SOFiSTiK Bridge Modeler with interface work in AutoCAD and MicroStation, aligning with project construction drawings and standards.

You will collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure high-quality models, generate drawings, and maintain libraries and procedures.

Qualifications

• College degree (DEC) in civil engineering or related field preferred.
• Certification in Autodesk Revit is a plus.
• 5 years of relevant modeling experience with a focus on Revit.
• Relevant bridge engineering experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Revit and CAD tools; willingness to learn standards.

Responsibilities

• Model steel and concrete bridge components in 3D using Revit per project standards.
• Generate/export general and detailed drawings, BOMs, CNC/IFC files from Revit.
• Coordinate interfaces with road geometry, supports, equipment, using AutoCAD/MicroStation references.
• Set up and maintain libraries, templates, and Revit procedures for consistency.
• Perform quality checks on models and drawings for tolerances and assemblies.
• Collaborate with engineers and technicians and project partners.
• Validate geometry relative to alignment and profile.
• Handle other related duties.

Remuneration: To be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to: education, relevant and demonstrated work experience in the role, skills, qualifications, certifications, competencies and other relevant criteria.

Missions/Main Duties

As a Revit Modeling Technician, you will play a key role in 3D modeling, clash detection, the parameterization of adaptive families, and model federation. You will work primarily in Autodesk Revit and SOFiSTiK Bridge Modeler, interacting with AutoCAD and MicroStation for interface integration, and you will ensure that models are developed in accordance with the project’s applicable construction drawings. You will collaborate closely with engineers and technicians.

• Model steel and concrete bridge components in 3D using Autodesk Revit, in accordance with project standards and requirements.
• Generate and export general and detail drawings, parts lists, bill of materials, and CNC/IFC files from Revit, and ensure compliance with the clearances and dimensions specified in the contract requirements.
• Coordinate the integration of interfaces with road geometry, supports, equipment, and related disciplines, using references from AutoCAD/MicroStation.
• Set up and maintain object libraries, templates, attributes, and Revit procedures to ensure consistency, quality, and reusability.
• Perform quality checks on models and drawings (conflict detection, compliance with specifications and design data, verification of tolerances and assemblies).
• Interact with representatives of the modeling teams from project partners.
• Determine and validate the geometry of a structure relative to an alignment and profile.
• Other related duties.

Profile/Skills

Education:

• A college degree (DEC) in civil engineering or a related field is preferred. Certification in Autodesk Revit is a plus.

Years of experience:

• 5 years of relevant modeling experience, with a focus on Revit.
• Relevant experience in bridge engineering is a plus.

Technical competencies:

• Proficiency in Revit.
• Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or MicroStation.
• Understanding of applicable standards and technical requirements; willingness to learn about bridge design specifications.

*In addition to French, this position requires functional knowledge of another language, namely English, as you will collaborate with a variety of colleagues and clients, some of whom are located outside Quebec (Canada, United States).
