About Float

Float is on a mission to simplify finance for Canadian businesses, empowering them to eliminate complexity and unlock new opportunities. Through our innovative platform, Float enables businesses to streamline financial operations and optimize cash flow, so they can focus on what matters most: growth.

As one of Canada’s fastest growing companies and top-rated startups in 2024 and 2023, Float is customer-obsessed, passionate, and entrepreneurial, with a team that includes leaders from Uber, Shopify, Top Hat, TouchBistro, and Ada.

At Float, everyone is an owner, bringing their unique perspective to our team and product. Your voice is important, and we take having a culture based on feedback seriously. We openly share our thoughts and differing opinions so we can continue to improve. We do our best to keep our decision-making decentralized so that all team members feel ownership in our success.

Our Product

Float is Canada's complete business finance platform, combining modern financial services and software to help businesses spend, save, and grow. Trusted by 4,000 Canadian companies, Float provides high-limit corporate cards, automated expense management, next-day bill payments, high-yield accounts, and fast, friendly support—all built in Canada, for Canada. Float is backed by world-class venture and fintech investors, including Growth Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives and OMERS Ventures, partners behind our $70 million Series B raise.

Our team is a collection of ambitious, collaborative, and mission-driven people from all walks of life but with one goal: helping Canadian companies not just survive but thrive. And we’re looking for bold innovators to help shape the future of business finance in Canada.

We're open to a range of titles for the right candidate -- whether that's VP, SVP, or Chief Revenue Officer -- depending on experience and fit. This role is senior and strategic, but we care more about impact and capability than titles. If you have a strong track record of driving revenue growth and leading go-to-market teams, we want to hear from you.

Opportunity for Impact

Reporting to the CEO/Founder Rob Khazzam, this role will be responsible for driving Float’s revenue growth, strategy, and execution across pre-sales (BDR, AE) and post-sales (AM, IM, CSM, etc). You will oversee key business metrics, including Bookings, CAC, CAC Payback, and Net Revenue Realization (NRR), while operating as a “P&L owner” to maximize return on Float’s total revenue footprint.

You will have three direct reports (“Head of” roles), and your mission is to ensure Float grows revenue by multiples each year, not just increments. You will own revenue end-to-end at one of the fastest growing fintechs globally, with visibility, accountability, and strategic influence.

What You’ll Do

  • Be a Float Ambassador: Personally involved in selling Float to key customers and defining the best sales strategies and pitches.
  • Sell to the Right Audience: Navigate mid-market and SMB segments efficiently and impactfully.
  • Lead with Data & First Principles Thinking: Use deep revenue and sales data to make high-impact decisions daily.
  • Develop a Multi-Year Revenue Strategy: Own the development of long-term revenue plans, including new revenue streams and customer acquisition channels.
  • Build & Systemize Sales & Post-Sales Processes: Create repeatable, data-driven playbooks for all funnel stages.
  • Drive Consumption & Activation: Focus on usage and payment volume growth, building a team that understands this.
  • Own and Optimize Strategy: Oversee outbound/inbound sales, pipeline conversion, and team performance, hiring and coaching high-performing teams.

Who You Are

  • Startup Veteran: Experienced in scaling revenue at fast-growing, venture-backed companies.
  • Strategic Systems Thinker: Builds scalable, repeatable processes using first-principles thinking and deep data fluency.
  • Elite Executor: Thrives under ambitious goals, embraces pressure, and delivers results.
  • Innovator, not Traditionalist: Leverages software, automation, and scalable systems for sales leadership.
  • Customer Obsession: Understands revenue’s link to product usage, with experience in consumption-based models.
  • B2B-Focused: Proven track record selling to mid-market businesses, ideally with finance or ERP experience.
  • Global Mindset: Experience at fintech or high-growth B2B firms, with a readiness to pioneer new markets.

Why is this role so exciting?

  • Aggressive Growth: Scale revenue by multiples annually with a capable leader.
  • P&L Ownership: Drive ROI and strategic growth with full financial accountability.
  • High Impact: Full ownership of Float’s revenue engine, shaping the sales motion.
  • Performance Culture: Fast execution, impact, and minimal bureaucracy.

If you’re ready to lead at hypergrowth speed, build a modern sales machine, and drive transformational revenue, let’s talk.

Why You Should Join

  • Work at one of Canada's fastest-growing fintechs
  • Make a real impact in a high-autonomy, high-growth role
  • Collaborate with an ambitious, supportive team
  • Competitive salary, equity, and benefits
  • Hybrid work model – based in Toronto with in-office days
  • Catered team lunches on Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Dog-friendly office environment
  • High-trust, high-performance culture where your work matters

In Short

At Float, you’ll thrive if you’re bold, curious, and eager to make an impact. We’re building something special—and having fun along the way. If you’re excited to build, grow, and win together, we’d love to meet you.

We’re committed to an accessible, welcoming workplace. If you need accommodations during hiring or after joining, contact Vic at victoria@floatcard.com.
