Role overview

Our Business & Commercial Development team is a function that aims to strengthen the organization and ensure profitable growth while building Commercial capabilities & processes. Big part of the journey is establishing revenue growth management capabilities, which we call Value Management, to drive profitable growth, implement solutions, develop capabilities, and drive change management. Within Value Management we work with different levers (Pricing, Promotion, Assortment & Trade Terms). As a result, you will gain great level of exposure to different functions and stakeholders as well as opportunity to impact and drive change.

The Role engages Carlsberg Canada’s entire portfolio across all provinces and channels. Situated in our Commercial office in Oakville, the role reports to the Business & Commercial Development Director.

What you’ll be doing

The role is designed to support Carlsberg Canada commercial teams across all provinces and channels in driving profitable growth while building foundational Revenue Management capabilities, tools, and processes. As part of your responsibilities, you will:

  • Act as a pioneer and change catalyst, being a central figure in the organization when it comes to establishing Value Management in Canada, working closely with senior management.
  • Define and implement the three-year Value Management strategy across all provinces, customers, portfolios, and channels, in close collaboration with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Based on category and portfolio strategy, lead the development of the commercial plan regarding assortment, pricing, and promotion while driving Revenue Management discussions and initiatives.
  • Lead the annual pricing process and are responsible for the commercial price-pack strategy in alignment with Carlsberg Canada’s category & portfolio strategy.
  • Track and evaluate Price changes in the market (including key competitors) at category, province, channel, and pack type level, translating findings into optimized pricing strategies, including P&L impact assessments.
  • Analyse market data and trends to identify new profit pools and define the optimal national assortment within the annual Brand/Pack/Price/Channel (BPPC) planning process.
  • Develop category "Golden Promotion Rules" in coordination with the Commercial Leadership Team and implement customer/channel-specific promotion optimizations.
  • Manage Carlsberg Canada’s Promotional plan & forecast, analysing promotions volume and profitability lift vs. baseline, optimizing them for profitable channel/customer development.
  • Prepare and present reports and recommendations on pricing, promotions and assortment for commercial management.
  • Translate commercial trends and insights into actionable steps for a Revenue -creating assortment and pricing strategy, presenting recommendations to management.
  • Engage with relevant stakeholders daily, building trust as an advisor within the company on pricing, assortment, and commercial insights.
  • Take the lead in developing tools and reports to support capability embedment.
  • Be responsible for customer sell-in stories related to pricing, assortment, and other commercial projects together with Key Account Managers.

What we’re looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required.
  • 5-8 years of experience in FMCG/ CPG roles: Revenue Management, Category Management, Commercial Insights. Experience in Sales Development / Key Account Management / Consulting will be considered as a strong advantage.
  • Proven track record working with Revenue Management levers (Price-pack architecture / Pricing / Promo).
  • Strong analytical skills for identifying business opportunities and supporting decision-making with proven track record.
  • Ability to transform complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey insights and recommendations effectively, collaborating with various stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a high degree of initiative.
  • Self and result driven, highly organized, detail-oriented and must have aptitude for solving.
  • Experience in change management will be considered as an advantage.
  • Team player who can work in a dynamic environment with tight timelines and deliver under pressure.
  • Good level of business acumen.
  • Advanced English level both written and spoken.
