Job summary

Clutch in Calgary is hiring a Retail Vehicle Advisor (Field Specialist) to join our launch team. You will meet customers in Calgary, inspect vehicles, and ensure a high-quality, seamless experience as the face of Clutch in this online car-buying new market.

You’ll handle vehicle inspections, paperwork, and transport duties, with training provided. If you enjoy cars and fast-paced service, this role offers growth and a strong compensation package.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of customer-facing experience.
  • Class 5 Alberta driver’s license.
  • 3 years of clean driving record.
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Available to work at least 40 hours per week, including weekends, with overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a uniquely special experience to each and every customer.
  • Meet customers throughout the Calgary area to inspect and pick up vehicles they are selling to Clutch.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, address needs, resolve issues, and ensure satisfaction at every touchpoint.
  • Inspect vehicles using the guided inspection app and assess cosmetic and mechanical condition.
  • Complete customer paperwork accurately and maintain notes in the tracking system.
  • Learn to safely operate Clutch’s truck and transport vehicles from pickup locations to storage.
  • Support other team members with various tasks as necessary.

About The Role

We’re on a mission to build a world-class team that drives innovation, growth and excellence. As we scale rapidly, we’re looking for a Retail Vehicle Advisor (Field Specialist) to be the face of Clutch at our new Calgary location.

As a member of our Calgary launch team, you’ll have the opportunity to help build a new market from the ground up, shape how we operate and grow alongside the business. Since our entire car-selling process is online, you’ll often be the first Clutch employee our customers meet when they sell their vehicle. You’ll have the freedom to go above and beyond to make sure every customer has a great, unique experience in this dynamic customer service and transportation role.

What You’ll Do
  • Delivering a uniquely special experience to each and every one of our customers.
  • Work between our retail location and off-site appointments, meeting customers throughout the Calgary area to inspect and pick up vehicles they are selling to Clutch.
  • A major part of this job is having exceptional customer service skills, where you’ll be the face of the company in addressing customer needs, resolving issues, and ensuring satisfaction at every touchpoint.
  • Bring a sharp eye for detail when inspecting vehicles using our guided inspection app, carefully assessing cosmetic and mechanical condition to identify potential issues and provide customers with a high-quality experience.
  • You will be accurately and efficiently completing customer paperwork as well as taking thorough notes in our customer tracking system.
  • Learn to safely operate Clutch’s truck, including loading, securing and transporting vehicles from customer pickup locations back to our storage facility. Full training will be provided.
  • You’ll also be a team player by assisting other team members with various tasks as necessary.
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience:
    • 2+ years of customer-facing experience
    • Comfortable driving longer distances.
    • Passionate about cars and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • License: A class 5 License (valid in Alberta)
  • Driving Record: 3 years of clean driver’s abstract with no major infractions.
  • Background Check: Clean criminal background check.
  • Work Authorization: Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Availability: Must be available to work a minimum of 40 hours per week, including weekends, with overtime as required. Clutch operates seven days a week.

  • Experience driving larger vehicles is an asset, as you’ll occasionally get behind the wheel of our bright red Clutch car hauler.
