Job summary

Bass Pro Shops in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, is seeking a Retail Lead to oversee daily operations of the store department. Reporting to the Group Sales Manager, you will supervise the team, delegate tasks, and ensure excellent customer service and product recommendations.

You will train staff on SOPs, maintain visual standards, and resolve customer issues while supporting other store areas as needed. Weekend work and open shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of supervisory experience in a sales or service environment.
• Ability to lead and develop team members through training and SOPs.
• Strong customer service focus with the ability to assess needs and make recommendations.
• Excellent judgment and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced retail setting.
• Familiarity with outdoor lifestyle products is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Provide supervision and leadership to the department team with the manager.
• Delegate tasks with clear direction and follow up on execution.
• Foster growth and development through training on procedures.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and processes and report violations.
• Perform administrative tasks related to the department.
• Deliver legendary customer service by analyzing needs and recommending products.
• Promote company programs to staff and customers.
• Maintain visual presentation, signage, stocking, remerchandising, and floor cleanliness.
• Resolve customer issues using good judgment and problem solving.
• Support other store areas when business needs arise.
