Job description

This is a full-time, fixed-term position from August 2025 to February 2026.

What You Will Do

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Retail and Wholesale, the Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the store, ensuring sales goals are met, merchandise standards are maintained, and operational excellence is achieved by building and leading a high-performing team. The Store Manager will ensure an exceptional shopping experience that reinforces Manitobah’s reputation as a preferred retail destination in the community.

Location

This position is in person at Cornwall Centre, 2102 11th Ave., Regina, SK. The incumbent will be required to report to our headquarters located at The Forks in Winnipeg, Manitoba, as directed.

  • Reports to: Sr. Director of Retail and Wholesale
  • Key Relationships: Retail Department, Planning and Inventory Department
  • Direct Reports: Yes

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise Assistant Store Manager, Retail Ambassadors, and Key Holders
  • Coach and motivate the team to achieve top performance and deliver exceptional customer service
  • Execute standards in recruiting, hiring, training, customer service, visual merchandising, and store operations
  • Manage an organized and efficient inventory stockroom
  • Approve and verify bi-weekly timesheets for payroll
  • Organize and execute in-store workshops and special events
  • Ensure all merchandise is properly ticketed and displayed
  • Adhere to loss prevention, security policies, and POS procedures
  • Offer Fireside Community email sign-up to all customers
  • Act in accordance with Manitobah’s brand values: Love, Respect, Bravery, Truth, Honesty, Humility, and Wisdom
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Ideal Experience

Professional Experience:

  • 2-3 years of experience in retail management
  • 2-3 years of supervisory experience in a retail environment
  • Experience working in an Indigenous or culturally sensitive environment is an asset

Educational Requirements:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • College diploma in Business or Management is an asset

Availability

Must be available mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
