The Retail Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations and profitability of the establishment according to set goals and business objectives. Daily operations include staff management, customer satisfaction, product presentation, inventory management, and promotional activities.

Job Duties:

  • Greet and assist customers professionally, setting an example for staff.
  • Address customer complaints effectively, ensuring positive resolutions.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and security regulations.
  • Maintain stock levels through efficient inventory management.
  • Conduct scheduled inventory and provide reports.
  • Increase sales, expand markets, and promote the business within guidelines.
  • Verify invoices, track expenditures, and manage budgets.
  • Ensure merchandise presentation and correct pricing.
  • Make informed purchasing decisions with volume discounts.
  • Provide management with sales, staff, and productivity reports.
  • Hold staff accountable for cash handling and balances.
  • Manage daily sales, receipts, and revenue tracking.
  • Make daily bank deposits and reconcile statements.
  • Coordinate cannabis and accessory orders and receipts.
  • Supervise staff and coordinate operations across shifts.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Valid QCW/Sell Safe certification for Alberta cannabis retail.
  • High school diploma and post-secondary or vocational training.
  • At least 5 years supervisory retail experience.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Strong time management, staff training, and motivation skills.
  • Basic office skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong customer service, troubleshooting, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Culturally sensitive and diplomatic.
  • Ability to learn sales software quickly.
  • Flexible to work any shift, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Professional attitude and meticulous record-keeping skills.
