Overview

Our retail Cannabis Retail Store Manager (SM) plays a vital role in delivering a distinctive shopping experience. The SM is responsible for collaborating with company management and overseeing day-to-day retail operations at the store location.

Responsibilities

Sales Associate Support:

  • Assist in hiring, supervising, and managing employees, ensuring all hold valid Selling It Right licenses.
  • Motivate and inspire team members to be positive, friendly, knowledgeable, and hardworking.
  • Coach staff and provide constructive feedback for professional growth.
  • Train team members on procedures and policies to ensure quality performance.
  • Maintain SOPs and ensure compliance with policy and regulations.
  • Build weekly staff schedules in accordance with labor policies.
  • Be accessible and responsive to team questions, suggestions, and conflicts.
  • Achieve high retention, engagement, and performance scores among staff.
  • Lead by example and handle high-volume store circumstances effectively.

Sales and Customer Service:

  • Handle customer feedback and resolve complaints following head office procedures.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and utilize feedback for improvements.
  • Implement sales strategies in collaboration with marketing for incentives and promotions.
  • Recommend and analyze promotions to boost sales trends.
  • Review sales reports, monitor inventory needs, and track daily sales performance.
  • Analyze store metrics to exceed sales goals.
  • Use employee incentives to motivate and improve morale.
  • Maintain high scores in revenue, gross margin, and customer reviews.

Daily Store Operations:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulations and maintain proper reporting.
  • Assist with inventory, sales, and compliance audits.
  • Perform opening and closing procedures, including security and cash management.
  • Create staff schedules and maintain a safe, organized environment.
  • Oversee facility maintenance, troubleshooting, and stock management.
  • Monitor product expiry, promote sales, and manage inventory audits and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate deliveries and ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Communicate daily updates to team via email and logs.
  • Adhere to HR policies, including confidentiality.
Qualifications
  • Valid Selling It Right Certification.
  • Clean Criminal Background Check prior to start.
  • 5-6+ years retail experience, with 3+ years in a supervisory role.
  • Excellent customer service and management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and sales software.
  • Strong communication, team leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Availability for shift work including nights, weekends, and holidays.
