Overview

The Retail Store Manager is responsible for the daily operations and profitability of the establishment, aligning with set goals and business objectives. Daily operations include staff management, customer satisfaction, product presentation, inventory management, and executing seasonal and promotional activities.

Responsibilities

Job Duties

• Greet and assist customers professionally, setting a positive example for staff.
• Address and resolve customer complaints effectively to ensure satisfaction.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations.
• Manage inventory efficiently to maintain stock levels.
• Conduct scheduled inventory checks and prepare reports.
• Drive sales, expand markets, and promote the business within guidelines.
• Verify invoices, track expenditures, and manage financial records.
• Maintain neat merchandise presentation and correct pricing.
• Make informed purchasing decisions for large quantities with discounts.
• Provide management with sales, staff, and productivity reports.
• Hold staff accountable for cash handling and deficits.
• Balance daily sales, print receipts, and track revenue.
• Handle daily bank deposits and reconcile statements.
• Coordinate the ordering and receiving of cannabis and accessories.
• Supervise staff and coordinate work schedules for operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid QCW/Sell Safe certification is mandatory for cannabis retail in Alberta.
• High school diploma and post-secondary or technical training.
• At least 5 years of supervisory experience in retail.

• Ability to monitor and evaluate staff performance.
