Retail Store Manager (24-month contract) - Victoria

Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and keen individual to fill the role of Retail Store Manager for our Lindt store in the Victoria's Mayfair Shopping Center. The ideal candidate must possess strong communication skills and a passion for sales and merchandising.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the daily operations of Lindt Retail Boutique.
  2. Responsible for generating and driving corporate sales.
  3. Uphold the values of exemplary customer service through modeling of behaviour and establishing appropriate guidelines.
  4. Monitor sales and labour issues on a daily basis with a goal to maximize store profitability without sacrificing customer service.
  5. Recruit, interview and hire Retail Sales Associates.
  6. Supervise store employees to maximize customer service, sales and profit.
  7. Train sales techniques and product knowledge.
  8. Timely order merchandise and supplies with focus on overall inventory management and loss prevention.
  9. Daily reconciliation of cash with sales receipts, daily paperwork and accounting, payroll and other store administration.
  10. Develop and utilize full knowledge of all products and sales information with a constant focus on achieving sales goals while controlling expenses.
  11. On-going performance management of staff, assist in the preparation and delivery of employee performance reviews.
  12. Maintain store merchandising presentation to company standards.
  13. Maintain high standards for cleanliness and food/product safety.
  14. Cash handling, inventory ordering and related retail administrative duties.

Qualifications:

  1. Post secondary education preferred.
  2. Sales oriented, able to develop/build business.
  3. 2-5 years of retail management experience.
  4. Good time management habits.
  5. Strong oral and written communication abilities (French and English).
  6. Previous experience in a merchandising or presentation capacity.
  7. A history of going above and beyond to provide exceptional customer service.
  8. A talent for sales and selling.
  9. A passion for chocolate!

Rewards Package:
The standard hiring range for this role is $54,957 - $68,697 CAD per annum with a 15% performance-based bonus. The final agreement upon salary may vary based on market location and factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience.
