Revelle Shop is seeking an experienced, sales-driven Store Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Toronto luxury women's fashion boutique.
Revelle is a destination for curated designer fashion, specializing in resort wear, vacation dressing, occasion wear and unique pieces from international designers including PatBO, Charo Ruiz, Hemant & Nandita, AZULU, Rococo Sand, LoveShackFancy and more. Our clients are women who travel, celebrate and dress for the moment, and they expect a five-star experience every time they walk through the door.
We are looking for someone who can take ownership of the store, lead summer hires team, build strong relationships with our clientele and, most importantly, drive sales and grow the business.
This is not an opening-and-closing retail management position. As a small, entrepreneurial business, this role carries an unusual broad scope: you will sell, lead a team, run operations and help shape how the brand shows up online. If you want a narrow corporate lane, this isn’t it. If you want real ownership, direct access to the founder and visible impact on a growing business, it is.

Own the boutique's daily and monthly sales performance against clear targets. Find the opportunities to lift conversion, average transaction value and repeat purchase. Track results daily and bring ownership of the numbers, the challenges and the plan. Coach the team on product knowledge, styling, upselling and closing. Know your best sellers, your slow movers and your customers' buying patterns, and act on them. Build the schedule to a labour budget based on forecasted traffic and business needs.
Build and hold strong relationships with our VIP and repeat clients. Reach out proactively when new collections and the right pieces arrive. Follow up after every visit, purchase and styling appointment. Keep client notes, wishlists, sizing and designer preferences current so relationships belong to Revelle. Handle concerns, exchanges and service issues with grace. Turn first-time shoppers into regulars. Support remote clients by phone, text, email and virtual styling. Ask happy clients for Google reviews; word of mouth matters to us.
Oversee receiving, tagging and organizing new inventory, entered accurately in Lightspeed. Monitor stock levels and investigate discrepancies. Run scheduled cycle counts between full counts, and own inventory accuracy and shrink. Coordinate transfers, holds, special orders and online fulfillment. Maintain accurate pricing and markdowns, and audit the floor daily so every piece is tagged, priced and correctly placed. Steam, prep and style merchandise before it hits the floor. Refresh displays and windows weekly based on new arrivals, best sellers, seasonality and sales data. Replenish sold pieces immediately. Keep the boutique consistently reflecting Revelle's luxury brand image.
Coordinate online orders with store inventory and keep the two aligned. Prepare and oversee fulfillment, packaging and pickups. Work in WooCommerce: create and update product descriptions, imagery and product pages to our standard, and audit the site regularly to remove dead variations, hide sold-out products and fix errors. Support customers on online purchases. Coordinate shipping, duties payments. Understand how in-store activity affects the wider e-commerce business.
Build, write and send Revelle's email campaigns in Klaviyo on a weekly to ten-day cadence, covering new arrivals, designer features, restocks, event invitations and seasonal edits. Maintain list health: sync Lightspeed contacts into Klaviyo, manage segments and keep data clean. Report on opens, clicks, list growth and attributed revenue. Capture accurate customer information at checkout and grow our VIP community. Identify the right clients for new-arrival outreach, private shopping and events. Feed customer feedback and frequently requested products back to ownership.
Capture in-store content for Instagram and TikTok, including new arrivals, styling, try-ons and behind the scenes. Post stories daily and contribute to the content calendar. Build graphics and campaign assets in Canva using the Revelle brand kit. Write and publish blog content on the website. Identify and coordinate with micro-influencers and local collaborators. Be comfortable representing the brand on camera.
Prepare the boutique for events, launches and pop-ups. Coordinate staff coverage and inventory readiness. Run VIP appointments and private shopping events. Support trunk shows and designer launches. Convert event traffic into long-term clients. Build local partnerships with hotels, concierges and neighbouring businesses to bring new people through the door.
Oversee all opening and closing procedures. Maintain cash and POS accuracy, and review transactions, returns, discounts, and refunds. Follow loss-prevention and cash-handling controls and flag any exceptions. Resolve daily operational issues quickly and efficiently.
Oversee store logistics and deliveries, tracking seasonal orders and incoming shipments across carriers. Keep an up-to-date record of expected deliveries, follow up on delays or missing shipments, and ensure merchandise arrives on schedule. Coordinate delivery timelines with the team to plan launches, campaigns and promotions around incoming collections.
Monitor outgoing e-commerce shipments so orders dispatch correctly and tracking stays current. Follow up on delayed, lost or misdelivered packages and coordinate carrier claims. Keep accurate logistics records for incoming and outgoing shipments.
Manage stock levels of store supplies, packaging and shipping materials. Keep the boutique immaculate and ensure merchandise and operational areas remain organized. Report maintenance issues immediately and follow through until resolved. Uphold health and safety requirements, emergency procedures, and incident reporting. Maintain strict confidentiality of all client, employee, vendor, and business information.
Train new team Summer hires on selling, service, designers, product and store procedure. Manage, motivate and hold the sales team accountable. Set clear individual sales expectations and coach against them. Delegate daily responsibilities and confirm they're done. Hold documented one-on-ones and keep records of coaching conversations. Help recruit and onboard. Ensure scheduling, hours and breaks. Develop a trained backup keyholder so the store is never dependent on one person. Maintain a professional, positive, sales-focused culture.
Provide ownership with a weekly written business recap covering results, wins, issues and next week's plan. Feed sell-through, sizing and fit insight back to inform buying. Keep written procedures for recurring tasks current, and ensure all accounts, files, templates and vendor contacts live in company systems.
Physical requirements: moving between 2 floors for full shifts, receiving and unpacking shipments, steaming and moving merchandise, and occasionally lifting boxes up to 20 lbs.
We are looking for someone who sees a quiet day and asks, "What can I do to generate business?" We want initiative, not someone who waits behind the counter for customers to walk in.
You should naturally think about: Who haven't we followed up with? Which clients would love this new arrival? What isn't selling, and why? What should we move on the floor? How can we increase today's sales? Which customer should we invite back? What can the team do better tomorrow?
Revelle is entrepreneurial, so initiative matters: take ownership, spot problems before they grow and bring solutions rather than complaints.
Store sales and monthly target achievement. Conversion and average transaction value. Repeat and VIP client development. Individual and team sales performance. Inventory accuracy and shrink. Customer experience and Google review growth. Client outreach volume and email marketing performance. Staff development and accountability. Store presentation and merchandising. Operational reliability.
