Job summary

Wild Fork in Hamilton, ON seeks a Sr. Sales Leader to guide a team of brand ambassadors, train staff, and drive profitability. You will model the company values, manage inventory for freshness, and lead community engagement to boost traffic and sales.

Expect to own HR processes, scheduling, and performance reviews, while delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining store standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of retail, hospitality, grocery, or restaurant experience with at least three years in a management capacity.
• Proven success in coaching and training employees.
• Strong understanding of sales drivers and customer service.
• Experience with recruiting and performance evaluation processes.
• Ability to delegate tasks and take ownership with urgency.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of team management including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluations.
• Create an inspiring team environment with open communication and high energy.
• Drive store traffic by leading community events and branding.
• Provide training to improve knowledge and cross-train to maintain productivity.
• Manage inventory and coordinate with distribution center and commercial team.
• Develop plans to attract more customers and increase average basket size.
• Ensure store execution meets the highest standards and adhere to policies.
• Lead HR functions and ensure proper scheduling to maximize productivity.
• Take ownership of store P&L, analyze financials, manage expenses, and drive profitability.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Essential Tasks And Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of team management, including recruiting, hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions, when exercising sound judgement and decision-making in alignment with company policies and goals
• Create an inspiring team environment with open communication, high energy and respectful culture
• Driving traffic to the store by leading and initiating community events, branding.
• Lead by example and embody the company's core values
• Provide training to improve the knowledge base and utilize cross-training to maintain productivity when employees are absent
• Establish and achieve the highest standard of store execution
• Offer sufficient resources and autonomy to build trust and ownership
• Focus on delivering TOP of the line customer experience by sharing your passion for food and becoming a product expert
• Maintain and replenish inventory, staying in communication with the distribution center and commercial team regarding store specific needs
• Develop a plan strategically designed to bring in more customers and increase their basket size
• Conduct regular audits to ensure the store is presentable and can function properly
• Make sure all employees adhere to company’s policies and guidelines
• Provides leadership and guidance with Human Resources functions
• Maximize productivity through effective scheduling
• Take full ownership of the store’s Profit and Loss (P&L) performance, including analyzing financial reports, managing expenses, and driving sales to meet or exceed profitability targets
• Execute other related duties as assigned

Physical Demands And Work Environment

• Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force
• Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures – walk-in freezers
• Stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours
• Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and products

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred

Salary Range $70,000- $75,000. Plus monthly bonus opportunity
