Qualifications

Retail Sales Representative

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Retail Sales Representative for our Sales team in British Columbia based in Vancouver or the Fraser Valley of British Columbia.

It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their sales and technical abilities.

Position Summary

The Retail Sales Representative position is a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate and develop sales skills, customer-facing interactions, and relationship management. Reporting to the National Retail Sales Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for promotion, sales, and service of our products to home improvement retailers.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Increase sales by coordinating and executing training with store associates/service teams on CGC products, thereby increasing name recognition, product knowledge and CGC loyalty.
  • Maximize product availability in the aisle by using data analytics and training store associates on inventory management and ordering processes.
  • Maximize sales potential and brand loyalty through in-aisle product demonstrations.
  • Work with stores to ensure CGC product displays look great.
  • Work with the Retail Channel/Product Marketing team to actively promote CGC products in big box stores.
  • Actively seek new and innovative ways to promote CGC products in line with organizational goals (i.e., merchandising opportunities, product placement, etc.).

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years customer service / sales experience; preferably within the home improvement, building materials or construction industry.
  • Excellent communication, public speaking, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a people and results-oriented individual who incorporates and emphasizes safety and quality in all aspects of the daily work environment.
  • Must demonstrate proven success at working independently with a sense of urgency and high level of customer focus.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills. Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Overnight travel is required to effectively cover sales territory.
