Job summary

Staples Canada in Dartmouth is seeking a Retail Production Coordinator to plan and coordinate all orders routed to our print department. You will receive inbound orders, sort and prioritize, ensure components are intact, verify print readiness, and route orders into production.

You will communicate with external customers, maintain service orientation, monitor dashboards, schedule machine resources, verify files, and keep partner stores and offices updated.

Qualifications

• High school completion is required.
• Diploma in Printing preferred.
• 3-4 years retail or commercial printing experience.
• Strong computer and MS Office skills.
• Ability to plan, organize and prioritize to serve partners.
• Ability to communicate with clients professionally.

Responsibilities

• Frequently monitors dashboards for new orders.
• Schedules machines resources efficiently, prioritizes orders for production, and distributes orders to associates.
• Ensures all order components are available for production, including order instructions, hard copy and digital files.
• Verifies digital files are print ready and take corrective action as necessary that may include contacting customer for updates, additional clarification or return of order, or completing quick edits.
• Maintains an open line of communication with Hub customers, including spoke stores, sales force associates, Corporate and Regional offices as required.
• Executes production and finishing functions during periods of down time
