Position Overview: An advanced DIY sales role requiring expert knowledge of the DIY automotive business, store operations, automotive systems, and parts. Responsibilities include providing advanced automotive problem resolution, sourcing parts, and maintaining inventory standards. Fleet safety knowledge is preferred.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve DIY issues effectively
  • Utilize GAS3 selling experience for all DIY customers, including walk-ins, online, and phone orders
  • Achieve personal and store sales goals and service objectives
  • Manage DIY services such as testing, battery installation, and wiper replacements
  • Maintain high standards of store appearance and customer service
  • Perform key holder duties including safety, opening/closing, and task management
Secondary Responsibilities
  • Assist with inventory processes like POGs, truck put-away, and cycle counts
  • Support professional services as backup
  • Maintain store cleanliness including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot
Success Factors
  • Advanced selling skills (GAS3) and friendly communication
  • Ability to locate and stock parts efficiently
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and store systems
  • Expertise in automotive diagnostics and parts sourcing
  • ASE P2 certification or equivalent preferred
Essential Skills
  • Knowledge of automotive systems and diagnostics
  • Effective communication in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to interpret safety and maintenance documents
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills and flexibility to work varied hours
Experience & Education
  • 3-5 years of automotive parts experience
  • High school diploma or GED
  • ASE certification preferred
Physical & Work Environment

Must be able to walk, stand, lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and occasionally up to 100 pounds. Work environment includes indoor and outdoor exposure, with moderate noise levels and potential exposure to weather and mechanical hazards.
