Job summary

Lip Lab, Toronto, is seeking an Operations Lead to act as second-in-command to the Store Manager. You will drive daily store operations, guest experiences, and team leadership in a vibrant and inclusive environment.

Responsibilities include managing inventory, training staff on standards and safety, and ensuring top service aligned with Lip Lab values. This full-time role requires 30+ hours and a dynamic, customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of leadership experience and interpersonal skills.
• 2+ years in retail, hospitality, or related field.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Passion for customer service and a positive attitude.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proficiency in POS systems including Shopify or similar platforms, plus Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Stand/walk 6-8 hours, lift 10-50 pounds, and perform bending/kneeling.

• Work with Store Manager to ensure top service and goals are met; act as Manager on Duty as needed.
• Create a positive, energetic environment and coach Lip Lab values and standards.
• Manage supplies and inventory to budget, with accurate counts in the system.
• Oversee daily and weekly operational task list.
• Optimize store organization to improve guest and employee experience.
• Train and ensure Good Manufacturing Standards are followed.
• Train and ensure hygiene and safety standards are maintained.
• Train and troubleshoot technology.

Position: Operations Lead - FullTime

Status: Full Time (30+ hours per week)

The Role As Operations Lead, you will serve as the second in charge of operations to the Store Manager and be responsible for the proficiency in all areas of retail operations. You will not only be assisting with the daily operations of the store but will also help in maintaining a fun, positive and inclusive atmosphere that guests and employees will all want to be a part of.

The salary range for this position is$18.50 - $20.00 CAD per hour. This role is also eligible to earntipsin addition to the hourly rate, based upon store location. Most roles earn an additional$7 - $9 CAD per hour intips.*

Offered salary is dependent upon experience and location.

What We Are Looking For

• 1+ years of experience demonstrating strong leadership abilities and interpersonal skills
• 2+ years’ experience in retail, hospitality, or a related field
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
• Passion for customer service and a positive attitude
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Proficiency in POS systems, including Shopify or similar platforms, as well as in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
• This role requires the ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours per shift, occasionally lift and carry objects weighing 10-50 pounds, and perform tasks that involve bending, kneeling, squatting, and reaching both overhead and below shoulder level.

What You Will Do

• Providing a unique and entertaining guest experience from beginning to end, confirming reservations, welcoming guests, completing reservations and hosting parties.
• Working closely with Store Manager to ensure teams are delivering top service and goals are achieved, and act as Manager on Duty as required
• Create a strong, positive, and energetic environment for team through positive feedback/reinforcement and coaching of Lip Lab values and standards.
• Manage the supplies and inventory to budget, keeping accurate counts in inventory system and maintaining levels to ensure the team’s success.
• Manage daily and weekly operational task list
• Optimize store organization to positively impact guest and employee experience.
• Train and ensure Good Manufacturing Standards are being followed by team members.
• Train and ensure hygiene and safety standards are always maintained.
• Train and troubleshoot technology
