Job summary

Marketsupport Canada in Mississauga is seeking a part-time Retail Merchandiser to service our South Mississauga territory. The role involves traveling to local retailers to set up displays, stock shelves and build strong relationships with store staff.

You will work days Mon-Fri, approx. 8am–6pm, 5–18 hours per month, using a smartphone/tablet with Wi‑Fi. Competitive hourly wage of $18.00–$18.75, mileage reimbursement, and training provided.

Qualifications

• Access to smartphone or tablet and home computer with Wi-Fi.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable automobile.
• Retail merchandising experience is a plus.
• Availability to work days Mon-Fri approx. between 8am and 6pm.

Responsibilities

• Travel to local retailers to perform merchandising assignments for national brands.
• Educate clerks on Government legislation regarding plain packaging tobacco products.
• Provide merchandising services (planograms, displays, POP, stocking, auditing).
• Take pictures and provide feedback via reporting App.
• Complete scheduled assignments efficiently, accurately and on time.
• Coordinate and map territory based on deadlines and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain relationships with store managers and staff.

As a Merchandiser for Marketsupport, you will:

• Travel to various local retailers (grocery, drug, big box, home, hardware, gas, convenience) to perform merchandising assignments for nationally recognized brands.
• Educate Clerks on new Government legislation in regards to plain packaging tobacco products.
• Provide merchandising services, such as: implementing planograms, building/ maintaining displays, selling-in additional displays/products, installing POP, stocking/tidying shelves, auditing, etc.
• Take pictures and provide detailed and constructive feedback through our reporting App.
• Complete all scheduled assignments efficiently, accurately and on time.
• Coordinate and map out your territory based on deadlines and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff.

What we are looking for in a candidate:

• Available to work days M-F approx. between 8am and 6pm
• Ability to manage a small local territory and dedicated to completing all assignments.
• Can roll with the punches and handle a diversity of tasks to complete.
• Comfortable discussing, promoting and selling additional products.
• Smart phone/ computer savvy.
• Self-motivated, independent worker and a problem solver.
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail.

Requirements for the position:

• Access to smartphone or tablet (Android/ Apple) and home computer with Wi-Fi.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable automobile.
• May be required to lift 15lbs and occasionally up to 50lbs.
• May occasionally require steel toe shoes.
• Retail merchandising experience is a plus.
