Base pay range

CA$44,700.00/yr - CA$55,100.00/yr

Department: Retail Strategic Initiatives

Reports to: Analytics Product Manager

Work Arrangement: Flexible, between in-office and home

Pay Range: $44,700-$55,100; individual pay is determined by factors such as program of study, year of study, job-related skills, and relevant experience.

Duration: Four (4) months, May 5, 2025 – August 22, 2025

Hours Per Week: 40 hours per week, M-F

Your Co-Op Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Retail Insights Co-Op Student, you support the Retail Analytics team as they expand retail reporting through PowerBI globally. You play an integral role in advancing the level of analytics from descriptive, to predictive, and later prescriptive. You are responsible for the end-to-end production of a forecasting model which will be implemented into retail-facing reporting company-wide. You analyze historical data to understand the factors that impact performance, provide actionable insights, and predict future growth. You manipulate and interpret large amounts of data, which will aid in future roles in data analytics or data management teams. You use PowerBI, Excel, PowerQuery, Databricks and other tools necessary for data modelling.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Retail Analytics team provides actionable insights to retail teams to facilitate data-driven decisions. They create easy-to-use reports that increase the transparency of performance metrics, allowing the retail teams to understand what their targets are, and how they can achieve them. As a part of the Retail Strategic Initiatives team, they also strive to innovate and set a standard for excellence in the operation of a vertical business.

Core Activities:
  • Developing a forecasting model by leveraging historical data
  • Collaborating with the Senior Analysts on model reviews and implementation
  • Documenting and version control
  • Ensuring data integrity through validation and monitoring
Learning Outcomes:
  • You'll improve your skills in project management as the owner of the forecasting model
  • You’ll learn how to analyze a retail business and what metrics are most important
  • You’ll gain a larger understanding of the data pipeline from source to visual
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Mathematics, Data Science, or related program. Masters preferred
  • Experience with machine learning or predictive analysis
  • You seek to understand by getting curious and are not afraid to ask questions
  • You balance logical thinking with creativity to problem solve in an innovative and scalable way
