Description

Our Retail Food & Beverage Outlet teams aim to provide the best experience to all guests through enthusiastic customer service, courteous issue resolution, and contributing to Stampede’s renowned western hospitality. These positions are temporary roles for the Calgary Stampede celebration in July 2025.

*Note: This role may require a valid ProServe certification, WHMIS, and Alberta Food Safety Basics (AHS).

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of our Stock Employees include:

• Assisting with shipping and receiving deliveries.
• Organizing and supplying inventory, including restocking beverages and supplies.
• Collaborating with bartenders and floor supervisors to monitor stock levels and replenish as needed.
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
• Ensuring ample supply of products for bars and concessions.
• Following health and safety guidelines, including food handling, chemicals, and liquor regulations.
• Reporting safety hazards or equipment issues.
• Assisting supervisors with additional tasks as required.

Note: The venue includes exposure to animal dander, weather conditions, loud music, and food allergens.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Good teamwork skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Physical ability to perform demanding tasks, including bending, standing for long periods, stairs, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Comfort working in crowds and with diverse groups of people.

Additional Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older by June 2025.
• Legally entitled to work in Canada.
• Possess a Social Insurance Number.
• Have a personal bank account.
• Successfully pass a criminal background check.
• Available to work all 10 days of the Calgary Stampede.
• Complete all required training and policies.
