The Retail and Experience Team Leader will report to the Retail + Experience Manager and is required to work weekends, holidays, and have open availability. This is a rare opportunity to work with excellent leadership at a fast-paced winery in Niagara on the Lake.

The Opportunity

The Retail & Experience Supervisor supports the team in achieving revenue and wine club targets related to retail, tours, and experiences. Ensuring a high-quality guest experience, promoting our brand image, and meeting financial objectives are key aspects of this role. The supervisor often serves as Manager on Duty, handling retail administrative tasks, opening and closing the wine shop, and coaching part-time hospitality teammates.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Communicate regularly with the Retail & Experience Manager about teammate performance.
  2. Assist in hiring new teammates.
  3. Support teammates on the service floor and sales counter.
  4. Train retail and experience teammates in wine products, accessory programs, and retail experiences.
  5. Lead retail experiences and host VIPs.
  6. Manage seasonal décor and retail merchandising.
  7. Coordinate bookings for group experiences and greet pre-booked groups.
  8. Monitor stock levels of wine, accessories, and supplies, and flag order needs.
  9. Ensure safety, security, and cleanliness standards are maintained.
Nice to Have
  • 1-2+ years retail supervisory experience, preferably in hospitality, tourism, or luxury retail.
  • WSET, ISG/CAPS, or CMS certification is an asset.
  • Technical skills in inventory systems (Oracle), POS, and scheduling software.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Outgoing and enthusiastic personality with a passion for service.
