Job description

Overview

Join a team at the forefront of data-driven innovation, where you’ll shape transformative solutions in the Retail/CPG industries. In this role, you’ll leverage your specialized expertise to drive impactful data and analytics solutions tailored to unique industry challenges and opportunities. You’ll collaborate closely with our sales team to understand client needs, propose customized solutions, and showcase the value of Adastra’s offerings.

Location: Across Canada

Position Type: Contract, estimated duration of 1 year with the possibility of extension

Employment Type: Part-Time (4–6 hours per week during regular business hours)

Work Type: Hybrid — occasional on-site presence required for meetings

Responsibilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities within the retail and CPG sectors, focusing on omnichannel integration, personalized customer experiences, and supply chain optimization
  • Partner with the sales team to identify potential clients and thoroughly understand their pain points and business objectives
  • Design and present custom solution proposals that highlight Adastra's capabilities, including data management, advanced analytics, and AI-powered systems
  • Conduct demos to validate the feasibility and effectiveness of Adastra’s solutions for retail and CPG clients
  • Act as a subject matter expert, offering technical and industry insights to both the sales team and clients
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in the retail and CPG sectors to ensure Adastra’s offerings remain competitive

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

  • Extensive experience in the retail and/or CPG industries at an executive level, with a strong understanding of:
  • Omnichannel strategies
  • Customer engagement and personalization
  • Supply chain management
  • Data-driven decision-making
  • Experience in the usage of data analytics, business intelligence, and the application of emerging technologies such as IoT, predictive analytics, and machine learning within the retail and CPG landscape
  • Executive communication and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business value for diverse stakeholders

Nice to Have:

  • A track record of successful presales or solution engineering experience, preferably within a consulting or technology services environment
