ABOUT THE POSITION

With over 430 retail stores worldwide, our associates are essential to our business. From ensuring product availability on the sales floor to creating eye-catching visual displays, addressing customer inquiries, and running an efficient checkout process, our associates create memorable customer experiences while supporting Columbia Sportswear Company's mission of "Connecting Active People with Their Passions."

As a Retail Associate, you will represent our company, brands, and products to our consumers. You will serve customers and share product information to help them find items that meet their needs. Retail Associates support the flow of products into the store and onto the sales floor to ensure product representation and accessibility. You will contribute to store profitability through accurate and efficient processes and assist the Store Leadership in supporting our mission.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

• Maintain store cleanliness, visual merchandising, and safety standards; restock merchandise from inventory.
• Perform cash register transactions (sales, returns, exchanges) accurately; promote loyalty programs.
• Support store profitability by accurately processing incoming and outgoing products.
• Assist customers by answering questions about products, features, and availability; understand their needs and support their buying decisions. Uphold Columbia's values to enhance the customer experience and teamwork.
• Acquire knowledge about products, policies, procedures, and programs to execute daily operations effectively.

YOU HAVE

• No specific education required; High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Up to 2 years of experience in retail or related fields.
• Experience serving and interacting with customers.
• Skill operating inventory and POS systems and other retail software.
• Must be 16 years or older.

JOB CONDITIONS

• Active environment requiring movement and physical effort (lifting up to 40 lbs.), may involve specialized equipment, dust, and noise exposure.
• Occasional work in various environments.
• Clear communication skills.
• Availability to work flexible retail hours, which may vary seasonally and based on business needs.
